The estate at property was very comfortable. It was very clean enough linen and good collection of utensils. The only feedback I have is to make sure the exact address as the property is in alley and taxi does not straight to it. Nicholas is very responsive in communication and help us for every query that I had. Once you get into the property it is a nice place and lots of restaurants around the neighborhood and also very safe. It’s walkable to the Museum of acropolis.

The dream house was perfect for our group of 9! We stayed 2 nights as we got to know Athens and it doesn't get better than this location! It's on a beautiful, quiet street next to the acropolis, just steps away from all of the sites, restaurants, and shops. The living room had plenty of comfortable seating and the beds were comfortable after walking all day. Nicolas was helpful and gave very clear instructions for check in and on how to find the home (a taxi can't take you on the street so you have to walk a bit) but with his instructions it was no big deal! Book it now 🙂

The location of the Dream house was perfect! You are so close to the Acropolis, short walk to the restaurants and cafes in Plaka, and about a 15min walk to Monastiraki Square. The weather was still pretty hot when we got there so when we got tired and needed a break from the heat we would come back and rest and then head out again a little later in the evening. Nicolas was also very responsive and a good host. Definitely recommend this place especially if your traveling with a big group!

My family and I loved the home and location! Right below Acropolis and central to all the shopping and restaurants. Home is very spacious, clean, and provided everything we needed (towels, extra blankets, great air conditioning, etc.). Nicolas was great and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this home/location and would stay here again during our next visit!

This is truly the perfect home for a larger group who wants to be in the heart of Athens/Plaka. The home was exceptionally clean, had all of the supplies needed, and was as close to the Acropolis, dining, and shopping as you can get. Nicolas was one of the best hosts I've experienced, his communication was excellent. The self check-in and check-out was easy.

Incredible location and beautiful home. The Acropolis is right above the home which was surreal. All of the restaurants and stores in Plaka are within a super close walking distance. Loved staying in Nicolas’ home. It was bigger than we expected and had lots of room for our family. It was modern and very well equipped in every way. Nicholas' place is very spacious, super clean, has every amenity and is located directly under the eastern wall of the Acropolis in Plaka.... and is therefore impossible to get lost!
Also, Nick was super accommodating with our arrival and departure times. If you have a large group or family, THIS IS THE PLACE IN ATHENS!

This apartment is lovely - spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet in a unique location at the foot of the Acropolis. Nicolas is also the consummate host who responds to your questions very quickly. I highly recommend this apartment.

This house was perfect for our family of eleven! The location is unbelievable. Several restaurants within a short walk. The house was the cleanest air bnb I’ve stayed at. The furniture is up to date and comfortable. The host was super responsive and very helpful with every aspect. I recommend taking him up on his transportation ideas!

Nicolas was an amazing host. This location is in the backyard of the Acropolis, you can not get any closer. The only thing separating you from the acropolis is a gate. Be prepared and bring your walking shoes! He was also very helpful with transportation to and from the airport which was one less thing to worry about. Highly recommend this property.

Our group of two families stayed at TheDreamhouse for three nights in June. We liked the location as it was walking distance to all the sights we wanted to see. It is just a few minutes walk to the south entrance of the Acropolis. It is also a few steps away from the stairs that lead up to Anafiotika (small neighborhood of Cycladic houses with narrow alleyways, & also a great place to catch the sunset). The house is close to several restaurants and markets too. Acropoli metro is just down the hill from the house.
We appreciated the air conditioner since it was warm in Athens when we were there. There was plenty of room for the 9 of us. There are 3 toilets and 2 showers. Each family had a shower so that wasn’t a problem for us. (One shower in the master upstairs, one full bathroom downstairs, one toilet in the hallway upstairs, one toilet in the master/jr suite downstairs). There’s a laundry room downstairs which we weren’t able to use as the previous tenant had broken the door to the washer. There was an issue with the hot water not working but it was resolved on our last day.
The prime location right under the Acropolis and convenience to major sites is what makes this a great place to stay at while in Athens!
Nicolas was easy to reach and was responsive. Thank you for letting us stay at TheDreamhouse!

Our only regret with this stay was that we couldn’t stay for longer. The house looks better than the photos and has everything you could need for a great stay - for families and/or a group of friends. The location couldn’t be any better.

My group of friends had a great time staying here. The place is clean and Nicolas was very communicative about check-in and in responding to our questions. It has a lot of living room space which was great to relax in after spending hours walking around in the hot sun. It's also very close to ancient Athens sites: <5 mins walking to the Acropolis, 5 to the heart of Plaka, 10-15 to the ancient agora. Be warned you will have to go up a big hill or many stairs to get to the airbnb, however. Also the clothes dryer takes a long time to run (compared to US standards).

Well maintained place in a great location. Nicolas was responsive both before and during our stay in Athens. Our only concern was what to do next in Greece (Nicolas helped out with that too), we were never concerned about the place. 10/10 would recommend!

Stay here for the *prime* location!! Our group had such a great experience in Athens, especially being so centrally located in such a beautiful and historic neighborhood! It was truly such a unique experience that can't be beat!
We also truly appreciate the prompt communications with Nicolas throughout our stay. It certainly made our stay go by very smoothly!
A few things to be aware of if you are traveling with a large group of friends:
-Each of the bedrooms are *very* different from each other in size and amenities, so you will have to find a way to fairly duke it out between one another. One of the "rooms" is also an open loft above the living room so it doesn't offer as much privacy as the other rooms.
-We did have a bit of a challenge sharing the 2 showers between 7 people. Note also that one of the bathrooms is within one of the bedrooms, so that one especially required a bit of coordination when we all needed to get ready at the same time
-Since the area is extremely pedestrian friendly, it can be challenging for large transports to find the right place for your drop off. Also, the address was a bit off using (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps, so make sure you coordinate this with Nicholas (who I'm sure would be very accommodating to help as all other check-in instructions were super detailed!)
Despite these two inconveniences, the location and the wonderful shared spaces you get with this home absolutely makes it worth it to stay here for a group trip to Athens.

We were a group of five, stayed 7 nights in November and can warmly recommend this accomodation. Communication before arrival was really good and we felt welcome when arriving. The house is clean and spacious, the location superb. WIFI works smoothly and the kitchen is well equipped including a Nespresso.

100% recommend! The photos speak for themselves, all totally accurate of the space. Perfectly clean and Nicolas was super helpful with sending links and photos for easy check in.
The location is the biggest win here. The area is so safe, just a few minutes from the Acropolis entrance, but more usefully; from Plaka and even over to Psirri. Super areas for food/drinks/shopping!
We did the Athens free walking tour and it literally ends at the mini park next to the house, hard to really sum up the centrality of the location better!
Only warning I'd give is that one of the rooms has a sliding door fitted loosely into the apartment so you'll hear a fair bit of noise in there. Grand if you're a good sleeper though!

The apartment is located in a prime location area, close to everything max 20 min by foot to all the main areas in Athens.
Nicolas was really helpful and was available for any issue that we had.
I will defiantly recommend people to stay at Nicolas's place.

This was a great apartment with tones of room. The location couldn’t be better! Parking is a little expensive but everything is so close you shouldn’t need a car for many of the days if any at all.

By a good margin the BEST AirBNB we have every stayed in. The physical quality of this place is on a different level, with details and depth I have not seen elsewhere. The location is very special, and you will feel like a part of a unique and cozy neighbourhood separate from the noise and stress of the city - but at the same time so incredibly central.
Nicolas responded very fast to any and all questions, took our stay very seriously. His service was also out of the ordinary. With him you will be in very good hands.

House: Roomy for a group of family or friends. Spacious enough to be together without being on top of each other. There are three restrooms and two showers. The washing machine and dryer are available for use but you may have to reach out to Nicolas for directions. The home came equipped with extra linen, towels, soap, and cleaning items for any messes. You will not want anything in the home. Great place to chill and plan the next days' adventures.
Walkability: You do not need a car for this location as all the key historical things and the Plaka are all within a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute walk. There is a multitude of places to eat and you can get everything from Greek to Italian to Indian food nearby. Because of the and steps and somewhat hilly terrain, I would not recommend wheelchairs, walkers, or other walking impaired issues book this house. You can also catch a taxi down the hill or use the Beat App which works like Uber for Greece except you have the option to pay in cash.
Host: Nicolas is very responsive and does use (Hidden by Airbnb) . He is definitely a real "Superhost".

Great location, great house. Very spacious and close of everything.

We were a group of 8 persons and the accommodations worked out perfect. Plenty of room to sleep, adequate bathrooms and showers. The kitchen worked well for breakfasts as other meals were eaten in restaurants. The clothes washer and dryer came in handy (thanks to (Hidden by Airbnb) Translate to read the dials). The location is super convenient with plenty of restaurants near by and close proximity to the hop a bus interchange - not to mention you are at the base of the Acropolis! Last but not least the host was very responsive and very helpful. We definitely recommend this place and we would definitely come back. Enjoy Athens!

AMAZING LOCATION !!! if this place is available for your days, book it NOW!!! you just can't beat the location. every major attraction and all the restaurants, markets, stores are within 5-10 min walk. We spent 5 days here and had the best trip ever, great host.

Absolutely lovely place! Not a single complaint. The house is beautiful and fully equipped. The only problem with it is that it was too nice that it discouraged us at times to leave and explore the area. Nicolas is so nice as well. He helped us with so many things that were unrelated to the house. We loved our stay there.

Nicolas’ house is beautiful and at an amazing location. It sits right at the bottom of Acropolis, a few minutes walk to the Acropolis museum and also to many restaurants and shops. You also need to prepare to walk up the hill a little bit because cars won’t be able to drop you off right at the front door.

adults and 3 children ages 9, 12 and 14 stayed here upon arrival to Greece June 2021. Check in was easy and communication was excellent. The house is quiet, clean, modern, with everything in working order and the location for exploring central Athens around the Acropolis was amazing. The kitchen had everything that we needed and the AC worked well. Great restaurants and gelato were so close. Very nice grocery stores within 10 minutes near Ermou (I don’t know the area name but if one looks for the H and M store on the map you will find it). I would highly recommend this house!

Our stay was perfect! The apartment was incredible. Everything was so clean and organised when we arrived. We stayed with 3 adults and 5 children (5-10 years) and we had so much room. It was so close to everything and we walked everywhere each day. Nicolas was always available for any questions and anything we needed. Such a special guy and he never made us feel like we were a bother to him. A couple of things I will mention that will help others. Beds are so comfortable and the pillows were really amazing. Also internet is amazing and fast. When we are in Athens, we will stay again!!

This house is amazingly well situated for exploring Athens. The house itself is immaculately clean and very user friendly. I would 100% recommend it.

Nicolas is a fantastic host and his place is THE BEST location for an Athens stay.

This place is one of a kind and really doesn’t compare to any other place in close proximity to the Acropolis. The house is super clean and has ample room for everyone to spread out as well as come together as a family. The courtyard was great to hang out in when evening came and all of the rooms were really comfortable although it did get a little warm in the loft/upper floor area which wasn’t a huge deal. All the amenities were great and the kitchen was reasonably stocked with the basics. Nicolas helped arrange pickup and delivery to/from the airport which was seamless & helped saved time. The only small issue is the large hill that leads up to the house a lot of taxi services either can’t find the street or won’t come up it. It’s not a big deal if you are able to walk up a medium steep incline hill. There is a back way to the house too which might help if you have issues with inclines. It’s pretty close to Acropoli station too so that helps.

The house is located at the base of the acropolis hill in the oldest neighborhood in Athens, yet is stylish and modern on the inside. We appreciated the houses cleanliness and functionality, as well as its proximity to all the archeological sites, restaurants and shopping of Athens. The neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing

This is a beautiful family home in the most historic and walkable areas of Athens. I have family who lives in the city and our visitors loved being able to walk everywhere and communicate easily with both the host and the neighborhood. Nicolas was very attentive and helpful every step of the way--including arranging a van for a group to be picked up and dropped off from the airport (for a very fair price!). He also provided many amenities above and beyond what is expected from a home rental including coffees, snacks, and toiletries. This is the best place to stay in Plaka -- especially for those looking to explore and learn about the historic center. Don't hesitate to book!

Nicolas's Dream House is a beautiful property in a wonderful location, particularly for first time visitors to Athens keen to see the Acropolis and surrounding areas. The front door is literally at the foot of the hills leading up the ruins and is surrounded by exquisite views over the city and a wide variety of amenities. Nicolas was a very considerate and conscientious host, assisting us with airport transfers, side trips and local suggestions. We had a superb visit and I have no hesitation in giving Nicolas the highest of recommendations!

This place is spectacular.
Literally 5 minutes walk from the entrance to the Acropolis, on a quiet side street closer to the Acropolis than the tourist zone.
The place is huge. Three large bedrooms (the master has an adjacent baby bedroom), two large living areas, a large kitchen, laundry room, 2 bathrooms, and a large loft. It even has a small private outdoor space. The place is immaculately clean, well air conditioned, and absolutely filled with all sorts of thoughtful amenities. Very kid friendly. The neighbourhood about 3 blocks from the place is rapidly filling with excellent restaurants, as well as shops of all kinds.
Nicolas was extremely helpful, arranging an airport transfer and then graciously going above and beyond to deal with complications on our end. Very friendly, helpful young man. His recommendations, and local info were very helpful.

NIcolas is indeed a super host , helping us every step of the way from the airport to the house to the amazing meals we enjoyed in the Plaka. If you go to Athens, this is the perfect place to stay. Right below the Acropolis, 5 mi. to the Acropolis museum, one of the top 10 in the world, and surrounded by great food, drinks and culture. Perfect for our extended family of 8, ages 18 to 80.

Beautiful modern home with all the amenities and more. The host is excellent and quick to respond to inquiries. The place was spotless and we felt very much at home. The location is perfect and right next to the Acropolis. You couldn’t ask for a better spot in the Old city. Tons of great places to eat and hangout.

Nicolas was an outstanding host. He set up our airport transfers which was an enormous help. His recommendations for special places to dine were spot on. I loved loved everyone of them!! The house is amazing and so centrally located! it was joyful to just walk to dinner and explore Athens from this lovely spot. All the historicsl sites are right at your door step. The Dream House lives up to it’s name! It is in an ideal position for exploring old Athens. Nicolas is a wonderful host who will sort anything. As a group of 8 women we were very impressed with the house in every way. Yes it could do with mirrors in every room and more coat hangers but it didn’t matter as the house was perfect in every other way! The space is amazing internally. The location could not be better. 100% recommend!!

I would really recommend this place! Six of us stayed and it was perfect and centrally located! Nicolas was great at communicating and it was reasonably priced!

We are tempted to keep this amazing place as a secret for ourselves and friends but we are generous souls. This house is a piece of paradise. Perfect location, spacious, gorgeous, well designed, fully and beautifully equipped.
The location below the Acropolis and on the edge between the Plaka and the Anafiotika is exceptional, right in the middle of history. Nicholas is really a super host. The "Dream House" is truly a dream come true.

This is a superb AirBNB, and one of the more luxurious ones I've stayed in. It's in the perfect part of town, but secluded enough that there is hardly any noise at all (other than church bells on Sunday!) The home is beautifully designed with plenty of modern touches, and the amenities and details are extremely well thought out. Comfortable beds, nice snacks and coffee, and a great booklet on exploring the city and attractions. Nicolas was a fantastic host, and had instant communication with us the whole time. I could not recommend this place, or Nicolas, more! You're very lucky if you have the chance to stay here.

Beautiful house in an amazing location.
We were on a business trip for a few days and this house was the best choice we could have made. Located in the most beautiful neighbourhood of Athens, Anafiotika. It's like being on an island in the centre of Athens, out of the city's noise but still close to sightseeing places, nice cafes and restaurants.
The house itself is unique with great architecture, it's bright, spacious and offers everything we needed. It's definitely a highly recommended place.

We were a family of 7 people. Nicolas suggested us transportation to/from the airport which was in good price. Nicolas's apt. is located just underneath the Acropolis in a very quiet street. The apt. is beautiful and is fully furnished in stylish manner. You have everything that you could think of. Nicolas even left us milk and snacks. The wi-fi is good. Water in the showers where very hot but while you were in the shower, nobody else could open the water somewhere else in the apt. During our stay we connected Nicolas few times and had a very quick respond and helped us with good suggestions. Nicolas is a great host and his apt is great! Thank you Nicolas for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic location in the Plaka and Acropolis area. Very safe feeling.
The place was excellent, with a few quirks about the amenities. For example, the master bedroom has a glass shower and sink inside the bedroom and toilet outside; also shares a large space with heaps of closets and currently a crib. The downstairs has three bedrooms, one with twin beds and another with a queen bed (which are opposite one another, and share a common space which has a bathroom (shower and toilet), and also laundry facilities. The other bedroom has a queen bed, which would be more comfortable if it had a box spring, but it includes an en suite toilet and large seating area.
The living room, dining room, and kitchen are upstairs (as shown in the picture), and there is a loft bedroom above the kitchen, with a steep staircase. There is a lovely patio outside.
The street is very quiet, but not accessible by a vehicle, and as Nicolas notes, can be challenging for some taxi drivers to find or access.
We had no problems finding places to eat and drink within walking distances, and a handy traveler's guidebook is provided.
All in all, we (three couples) very much enjoyed our stay here.

The house was over the expectations. there were more than 50+ towels in the house, soaps, drinks, storage full of water, orange juice and snacks. we didn't have to worry about anything in the morning!
The location is the best, 5 min walking from athens center and all the attractions you need.

Awesome, awesome, awesome ...... everything was perfect, the best location. Everything, nearby shops, cafes, restaurants etc. ... sleeping right under the Acropolis really made it a dream house .... the dreams house was very, very clean lots of space and very modern ... a must stay if you’re in Athens....Nicolas is very friendly and made sure all our needs were meet.....any questions we had Nicolas was super-fast to reply.....bottom line this is the place to stay....great location and a great host.....

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! This place is near the heart if the city and right next to the Acropolis. It was absolutely the perfect home for our few days in Athens. It was everything we could wish for and the simple touches in the space from decor to assortments of snacks and beverages waiting for us was the perfect touch. Nicolas was very communicative and responded quickly every message. He also assisted us with airport transfers from the airport to Plaka since our flight came in very late in the evening.

Unbeatable location in Plaka area, 5 minutes from the Acropolis museum. Only downside of location is that it is difficult for cars/taxis to reach, and requires a few minutes walk. But that's why it's in such a pedestrian-friendly area!

This place tucked away in the Plaka area was just phenomenal.
1) It is super spacious - there were 8 of us, and we still didn't use all the sleeping space available;
2) The little terrace was fun - my 70 year old dad ending up hanging out there when he didnt want to go out exploring / shopping with the rest of us
3) But perhaps most important, the location is amazing. Plaka is the old part of Athens and this place is literally 5 minutes away from the acropolis (the south entrance); the place is also 5-7 minutes away from the little shops and food places in the Plaka, so it was easy to go in and out a few times a day!
4) Nicolas is truly a superhost - he had special touches around the house including snacks available on our arrival, local tips on where to go, where to eat etc. He helped book us at amazing dinner places. And he connected us to Konstantinos who transferred us to the airport and back, and also showed us around Athens on a few of the days. I was initially concerned that there would be too many steps for my parents, but it turned out to be just fine. Highly recommended!

Warm Greek hospitality! The house is amazingly well located just underneath the Acropolis, and had everything we needed including a very helpful 3 day suggested itinerary for Athens as well as restaurants, etc.. All the amenities that one could need and the house was spotlessly clean. Our stay was great!!

The Dream House truly lives up to its name. Our stay of 5 nights was effortless and enjoyable from the start. Nicolas was quick to respond to any inquiries and questions from booking to arrival. He arranged transportation for us from and back to the airport and made sure we were informed upon check in.
We had a group of nine staying at the house, ages ranged between 6 and 75. We were all comfortable and had plenty of space to relax. On the kitchen counter is a packet of information on local activities, tours, restaurants, markets, etc. This was appreciated, but honestly, the location is so central, you can walk right out of the house in any direction and come up to the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, all kinds of restaurants, shops and cafes. The patio table was a favorite for enjoying our morning coffee. Nicolas came through for us helping us arrange a last minute trip to the Temple of Poseidon. Most amazing sunset I have ever seen!
Fantastic experience all around. I highly recommend the house, and Nicolas is an excellent host. Unforgettable trip.

Great Airbnb - would definitely recommend to friends and return here.
Pros:
- Location is perfect for seeing the sights in Athens (Acropolis, Parthenon, Agora, Panathenaic Stadium, etc.). Even though it was mid-90s we walked nearly everywhere with early elementary kids bc taxis would have taken longer with traffic. Being in Plaka, while touristy, also offered many great restaurants nearby.
- Nicolas was a great host, super helpful and responsive. He set up our airport transfers for our departure.
- Really spacious, very clean and modern space. We had 4 adults and 3 kids and didn’t use the upper loft.
- Air conditioning was critical. So was having washer and dryer. Foosball was a winner.
FYIs:
- Like most places in Greece, no toilet paper is flushable. Just be aware.
- The space is lofted so sound travels in the common spaces

Been to Athens several times but this time was exceptionally better because these accommodations were amazing!

Our family of five (3 teenage boys) loved this modern, unique home. There was so much room and the boys enjoyed the foosball table. The location was perfect in adorable Anafiotika, walking distance to everything yet quiet. The private courtyard was a bonus. We did not get to meet Nicolas due to our check in but the driver he arranged for us (Vasilis) was prompt and personable, a joy to spend time with. Thank you Nicolas for the cold beer & treats! In full honesty we liked the house so much, we spent as much time there as we did out exploring.

This home was gorgeous, and in a perfect location within the Plaka! Nicolas was extremely accommodating and courteous. He even helped arrange multiple transportations from the airport for a group of 10. This is definitely the place I will stay anytime I come back to Athens!

The location of this apartment was sensational. An easy walk to the Acropolis, museum, metro station and the heart of the Plaka area. Restaurants galore within a 2minute walk.
We stayed as a group of ten and had plenty of room and at no time felt crowded. The facilities were fantastic and our stay in Athens was a highlight. Communication with Nicholas couldn’t be better.

This place was amazing. To say it was “central” is a massive understatement. We were able to walk to all of the monuments/attractions within minutes, and there were a ton of restaurants, bars & tavernas around every corner. The space itself was stunning, and for a family of four, was more than spacious. Great spaces for socializing inside; and a nice quiet patio outside for our 1 smoker and, for the rest of us, our morning coffee! I would recommend this place for groups or extended families with kids as there were a ton of spots within the house that had kids would go nuts over (the loft, in particular!). The host, and his recommendation for transport in the city were also perfect. 10/10.

This place is huge! Lots of bedrooms meant our group of 6 was able to spread out quite a bit. It's also very stylish and modern. He left info about local restaurants and attractions and also helped arrange transport to/from the airport. Definitely recommend this spot!

I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to go have a great time in Athens, plenty of rooms, privacy, clean. Everything you want in an ABB. We had three kids under four years old with us, grandparents as well. The walk up and down the hill was no issue for anyone. Fantastic!

This light and airy apartment comfortably accommodated all 7 of us and we could each have our own bed. The location right next to the Acropolis was superb. Nicholas organised taxi transfers from the airport which also went smoothly and were much appreciated. I would thoroughly recommend this airbnb to anyone wishing to visit Athens. I didn't actually get to meet Nicholas, unfortunately, as the taxi drivers had the keys. But at least this led to a quick and easy check in, even at midnight when the second half of our group arrived.

We felt very good: the house so cute, clean and new. The position near the Acropolis and Plaka with many restaurant and night life. Nicolas is a very good host, available to all our request such as transfer and any little thing ( for example the cafe machine’s instruction). Every step of the way, Nicolas was there to assist, from initial enquiry, to greeting us on arrival, to extending for an additional night! The facilities are fantastic. There are unexpected extras in the cupboards, which really help.

We absolutely loved our stay at Nicolas's apartment. First of all, Nicolas is extremely conscientious and very responsive as a host. My copious questions were answered in an extremely timely and thorough fashion and check-in was as smooth as possible. The freshly designed space is large, modern, inviting and has tons of natural light. The decor is lovely and the touches of contemporary art added a great deal of personality. As the epic heat wave of summer 2017 continued we were especially grateful the AC units were powerful. The showers were great, the kitchen was well equipped for anything you might want to prepare. Nicolas had even left us coffee, chilled drinking water, breakfast bars, and local herbs and spices to try. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly. The private courtyard was an added bonus which the coffee drinkers and early risers in our group enjoyed in the mornings. We fell in love with the Anofiotika neighborhood which is a very old residential neighborhood within the Plaka. We liked staying in the Plaka because it made it easy to sight-see, etc. Conversely, the tourism bustle of the Plaka could have felt a bit chaotic but we escaped all that just steps away in the quiet, charming residential bubble that is historic charming Anafiotika. it's a little oasis within the Plaka. And to stay in an apartment that literally abuts the rock wall of the Acropolis is so cool. Walking home at night after dinner we marveled at the Parthenon and Acropolis lit up. We genuinely loved our stay at this apartment and our only regret is that we couldn't be there longer. A few tips: if arriving by taxi or driver make sure to find one that is reliable and will take you all the way up the hill to get you close with your bags. They can't drive all the way to the front door, but they can get really very close. we had massive amounts of luggage (an embarrassing amount) and it was easy to carry from the car to the front door just a few feet down a narrow restricted street where the apartment is located. after sightseeing one day one grumpy taxi driver wouldn't deliver us anywhere near the apartment. but he was an exception and exceptionally crotchety. I would simply suggest upfront communication with taxis and drivers ahead of time. it's not hard at all and they really can get you super close. It is a fairly good size hill walking back up to the apartment from the Plaka so anyone with mobility issues might need a little extra time. But it is nothing extreme, we carried groceries up. Nothing you won't experience when you go to tour the Acropolis itself. Plus we loved it because we ate so well at every meal we need a good walk home. The annex bedroom and bath has its own entrance and key and is enormous with the utmost privacy. it enters from...

Wow, this was a great place to stay, and Nicolas was an excellent host. The home was very comfortable and well-equipped -- my sons particularly loved the foosball table. I loved the air-conditioning! Fabulous location, literally right below the Acropolis, so well placed for all the restaurants and sight-seeing in and near the Plaka. But the tiny (pedestrian only) street that the house is on is very quiet, and you could not hear any noise from the city in the house at all. Nicolas was very responsive to any questions we had, and kindly allowed us to stay past check out time as we had a late afternoon flight.

This house is really amazing in terms of its location, amenities, cleanliness etc. Its a modern home that is really easy to live in and enjoy.
Nicolas has everything prepared for his guests. he had cold drinks in the fridge, small eats and the there are plenty of utensils, condiments etc. Its a walk in walk out situation.
My daughter and her partner said it was the nicest house they had been in and it was really well equipped. There's plenty of linen, towels etc.
The local restaurants were great as was the local superette.
The house really is at the base of The Acropolis.
We couldn't have asked for more.
As an aside, we also used the transport company and the guide recommended by Nicolas and they were great.

This home is a beautiful home that is amazingly located under the Acropolis. It is without a doubt that I recommend this home.

We absolutely loved this place. It's a spotlessly clean, quiet, beautifully designed, mod house in the heart of old Athens, within walking distance to everything.
Nine of us (ages 50 to 80) stayed here for a week. It looks better than the pictures in real life. There was not one complaint (well, except we wished for a larger coffee maker, which Nicolas cheerfully said he would buy). Rooms were comfy and clean. Plenty of towels and extra bedding. Kitchen was better equipped than my own home, with absolutely anything you could need, from shot glasses to cheese boards. Wonderful soaps and toiletries provided. Showers had good water pressure. We loved being able to do laundry and hang it outside in the back courtyard. Powerful A/C (except in the separate loft unit, but it was cool enough with a fan). Quiet at night. Cool little entrance courtyard with large table where we spent lots of mornings drinking coffee, and nights, drinking wine.
We felt that we had the best location in Athens, in the charming Anafiotika neighborhood. (Hidden by Airbnb) it for the history. We walked everywhere, including one of our party who walks with a cane and another who is a fit 80 year old. Many tavernas within a 2 block radius. Agora and other historic sites within a 5 minute walk. And, of course, the acropolis. Sigh.
Nicolas was the perfect host. Communication was prompt and excellent. He helped with arranging airport taxis for us, which arrived promptly and efficiently. He stocked with kitchen with fresh fruit, soda, beer, cake and all kinds of goodies which was a lovely surprise when we arrived.

Nicolas is the most attentive host I have had the pleasure of communicating with. Nicolas communicated excellently before the trip and even arranged airport transfer for us; giving excellent instructions on all of the details. When we had issues with our flight Nicolas was quick and clear at communicating a contingency plan and his after-care was first class. Thank you Nicolas; you truly are a "Super Host"!

The house is right next to the Acropolis with the entrance gate not more than 5-7 mins walk away. Lots of options for eating out and shopping within a 10 min radius. The lane itself is too quiet and can unnerve at first instance but grows on you by the 2nd day.
We were totally blown away with Nikolas'w attention to detail in ensuring the house was fully ready for us. His generosity in leaving behind some welcome food and a stocked fridge were well appreciated by us. He also helped as much as he could in booking out tours last-minute.
Meant for large families or groups of friends with kids. It has a small courtyard as well where one can do. Meal or just as space for kids to play. Bathrooms could have been a bit better especially given the size of the house, but we were able to make do with the same, albeit with some difficulty.

We have spent great days in Nikolas' amazing house. The house is beautiful, it's located in a exceptional place at the foot of the Acropolis and has everything needed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 people.
Nikolas has been really, really kind. At our arrival he left wine, sweets and other things in the kitchen. We had a little problem with the boiler but he was prompt and solve it in an effective and friendly way. So our stay in Athens was great and we couldn't have asked for more!

This house is exceptional. It is right by the Acropolis, shopping, restaurants, etc. It's a short walk to Mars Hill and other key historic sites. The house was perfect for the family. While it is right in the Center of historic Athens, it is an old residential neighbourhood so there were few issues with noises during late hours despite being Carnival week.
Nicholas was great with communication. He works hard to ensure that you know what is around the area and that you have the essentials and then some when you arrive.
Athens was amazing, and the house matched!

We had a very comfortable and nice stay. The apartment is just how it looks in the pics and right next to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum as well as 10 min. walking distance from the main Syntagma square and Monstriaki Square. And Nicolas was more than helpful and we had a very nice Xmas treat from him waiting for us 🙂 I would certainly recommend this to others.

We visited Athens for the weekend (10 adult guests in total) and the house was perfect for accommodating all of us in terms of beds/bathrooms/big living room/well equipped kitchen. Nicolas was extremely helpful with communication leading up to our check-in and was waiting for us at the house to welcome us with local produce to make us feel at home. The house itself was very clean, modern, tastefully decorated and very secure/private. It's perfect for walking just about anywhere with local restaurants around the corner; if you wish to explore Athens, its culture and its amazing cuisine then this place should be your go-to choice. Nicolas as a host was very accommodating, providing local tips and knowledge of bars to visit; it's obvious that he has put a lot of passion in setting up this amazing house. I highly recommend this house and we will be visiting again

We had a wonderful experience in this amazing apartment. The place is spacious, bright, modern style.
We found everything that we needed in the apartment, even more: I appreciated the baby food and other nice extras.
Nicolas took care about everything we needed.
The location is just unique! The apartment is in the most interesting and historical district in Athens - Plaka. The entrance in the Acropolis is just 3 mins walk!!!
I definitely recommend this apartment and hope to come back there again!

This house is amazing. Beautiful decor, huge space, has everything you need and Nicholas is the best host. He's super helpful and readily available if you have any questions or need recommendations. Our family of 5 stayed here and had such a great experience. The house sits literally below the acropolis and 5 min walk to all the Plaka area with all the shopping and restaurants you could ever want. It's a great place with a great host!

This home was absolutely amazing and even better yet so was our host, Nicolas. Hands down, this is definitely the place to stay if you're in the Plaka area. Close to the Acropolis, shops, restaurants, bars, etc... The house itself is stunning and walker bys would often stop in their tracks take pictures of the intimate courtyard and the houses modern design. Also the area itself is very safe. At no time did I or my fellow friends feel "guarded"
Nicolas made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we hoped it would be. I would without a doubt stay here again if I'm back in the Athens/Plaka area. I highly recommend.

Nicolas's house was fantastic. The location was perfect...within walking distance of tons of restaurants and wonderful shopping. Nicolas has done a very nice job remodeling this house. Everything was very nice and super clean. It smelled great. The house was well stocked with snacks, drinks, and wine. Also he had soap, shampoo, and all the other conveniences of home. We had 4 adults and 6 kids and everyone was very happy with plenty of space. I would highly recommend using the transfer service Nicolas suggested. The house can be difficult finding for a regular taxi driver. We will be calling Nicolas back on our next trip to Athens.

Minutes walk away from the Acropolis . Lots of space, beautifully renovated. Nicholas was a great host and even stocked the fridge for our arrival!

The location was excellent, right at the base of the Acropolis, easy walking distance to Plaka, tourist attractions, many restaurants and shopping. The house is new, modern, stylish, roomy, clean, and comfortable. We had snacks, bread, and wine upon our arrival which was awesome as we had just flown in from the USA. There were also basic grocery items - seasonings, olive oil, vinegar, etc. making it easy to cook. The courtyard has a table and chairs. Nicolas was very responsive and helpful to all of our requests. Overall this was a great place and great value.

The house is at a wonderful spot in plaka and Nicolas thought of every detail to accommodate a large group like us. The furniture, bathrooms and the kitchen is wonderful. He also placed great information about the city and the surrounding places. If I were to come back to Athens, I will book his house in a heart beat. It was the highlight of Athens along with visiting Athens its self.

The house is very nice, pretty much perfect! It was clean and well equipped with so many details – there was really nothing left to be desired. Nicolas was the perfect host; he even filled the fridge with beverages and some snacks.
There were 10 of us staying there and everybody felt comfortable. The house looks even better in real life than on the pictures… in a nutshell: a dream house!
The neighborhood (Plaka) is good, the Akropolis is literally just around the corner. It’s a couple of minutes’ walk to cafés, restaurants and supermarkets.
If we ever end up going to Athens again, we will definitely stay at this house.
So, there’s nothing else to say but “Thank you so much for everything, Nicolas!”.

The host was very helpful at all stages, from booking to check out. We came to find a clean flat, clean sheets and towels for the whole of our stay, a full fridge and lots of other amenities. A very comfortable 3-night stay for 10 people. I would recommend this place anytime!

This place is incredible.
As you can see from the pictures, this is a top notch place. The space has been really well thought out, and it's super comfortable to hang out in.
The location is perfect. Right where you want to be for the main tourist sites, in amongst the best restaurants, and a short walk to the best bar area.
Nicolas is also a great host. He was very communicative throughout, and really bent over backwards to make our stay the best possible, for example by stocking the fridge with a few treats, and being flexible with us on check out time.
I really can't recommend this place highly enough. Go and stay there, you'll love it!

This was a dream Airbnb! Nicolas was such a wonderful host. He took the time the get to know us when we first arrived and even shared a drink with us 🙂 The house is even better than the pictures show and the location cannot be beat. Everything you would ever want/need in an Airbnb his place had. From a prepared book of Nicolas's favorite places, things to do/see, where to eat, etc. That was very helpful and great to have! I would give Nicolas and his Airbnb a 10/5 if I could, wonderful experience!

It was a wonderful experience staying at the Sunny House. The house is at the base of the Acropolis on a quiet street. The best part about it was that the Plaka was just a few blocks away, but not in front of your house so the area was quiet. The New Acropolis Museum is just at the bottom of the hill from the home. Every where you wanted to go was just a short walk away. There is a private and quaint courtyard in front of the home. Unfortunately, it was incredibly hot when we were there and were not able to take advantage of the outdoor space. Nicolas was very thoughtful and provided us with everything that we would need during our stay. From a fully stocked refrigerator to shampoo and body wash in the shower. The home is clean and very well kept. We were a party of 6 and were quite comfortable in the living space. I would definitely come back to this house when I am in Athens. The only issue we had was with Taxi drivers. You have to make sure it is clear that they cannot go through the Plaka to get to the house. They must drive around to the side near the Acropolis entrance and ignore the do-not-enter signs.

Our stay at Nicolas' flat was truly amazing. The location is great and Nicolas is an amazing host, extremely generous, and he did everything to make us feel at home. My 2 year old nephew was well catered for and Nicolas even provided us with a cot for him. All in all, one of the best Airbnb flats I've stayed in. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Athens!

Nicolas did everything possible to make the stay fabulous! The welcome was very touching. Cakes, sweets and a full fridge. We loved the booklet with tips for places to eat... Followed the suggestions and had the best pizza we have ever eaten. The house was brilliant, spacious, immaculate and in the most incredible neighbourhood. The Acropolis was at our door step! Nicolas helped us arrange transport and transfers as well as day trips. I couldn't fault the stay at all.

A hidden gem! Nicolas was very welcoming and kind, the place is modern and looks better than the pictures in real life. Being under the Acropolis is priceless, definitely one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed at.

More than Perfect! House Perfect located, with all the details you can imagine, and more... Beautiful house, and really confortable. We were 8 adults, two children and a baby, and we used the two appartments.

You should stay here. You should stay here. You should stay here. Nicolas was an excellent host, and whenever I'm back in Greece, I'll stay at his property. There were six of us travelling together and Athens was our last stop. The house was extremely comfortable and beautiful. We each got our own bed and it was well stocked with towels and goodies. Location was also perfect. It was within walking distance to everything. Bottom line if you want a convenient, comfortable and beautiful spot to stay in Athens, this is your place!

We could honestly not be more happy while staying at Nicolas. First of all, the apartment was perfectly situated at the foot of Akropolis and close to the old town. Secondly, it offered all you needed in addition to supplementary things that Nicolas put forward for our pleasure. Kindly enough he filled the fridge with yoghurt, beers, wine, etc. and had a freshly baked bread and kake with supplementaries ready for our arrival. Nicolas is as well very friendly and welcomed any questions that could improve our stay. He had as well a book prepared for information regarding local tourist attraction along with contact information to a local taxi service, which made our trip to the airport smoothly.
I can easily recommend this apartment to anyone, and would once again thank Nicolas for his warm welcome into his home.

We stayed at Nicolas' place for a couple of nights in the first week of July. The location was unbelievable - I don't think it is possible to stay any closer to Acropolis and you can walk to major attractions in the center of Athens. We were able to drive to just a few feet from the main door to unload our luggage and then park at one of the outdoor parking lots only a couple minutes' walk from this place. We were four adults and seven children and the house fit us very well. When we arrived the place was spotless, well furnished and Nicolas left refrigerator full of drinks and breakfast food. I strongly recommend this place.
