Επισκεφθήκαμε το artistic house την εορταστική περίοδο των Φώτων αρχικά θα ήθελα να αναφέρω ότι το σπίτι είναι σε ιδανικό... read moreΕπισκεφθήκαμε το artistic house την εορταστική περίοδο των Φώτων αρχικά θα ήθελα να αναφέρω ότι το σπίτι είναι σε ιδανικό σημείο με άπλετο χώρο για να παίξουν τα παιδιά & εντός και εκτός της οικίας & σε ικανοποιητική απόσταση από την πολυσύχναστη Πορταριά. Η πρόσβαση είναι πολύ εύκολη & δεν αισθάνεσαι απομονωμένος. Σε μικρό χρονικό διάστημα βρίσκεσαι από τα χωριά Μακρυνίτσα & Πορταριά &τα προάστεια του Βόλου, σε ιδιωτικό περιβάλλον και επαφή με την φύση. Η υποδοχή από την κα. Δέσποινα ήταν πέραν του αναμενόμενου αφού μας είχε φτιάξει και χειροποίητους μεζέδες. Από το σπίτι δεν έλειπε τίποτα και κυριολεκτικά σε μερικά σημεία οι φωτογραφίες το αδικούν αφού δε μπορούν να μεταφέρουν τη θαλπωρή & τη ζεστασιά που σου αποπνέει. Η παρουσία της όλες τις ημέρες ήταν διακριτική & ήταν παραπάνω από πρόθυμη να μας διευκολύνει σε ερωτήματα που τις θέσαμε. Το σπίτι είναι ιδανικό για 2 οικογένειες, πολύ ζεστό. Δε στερηθήκαμε τίποτα. Περάσαμε αξέχαστες γιορτινές ημέρες & μακάρι να το ξαναεπισκεφθούμε. read less

Overall, I can’t recommend this house enough. Its artistic style is one to remember and it combines comfort with an incomparable aura of tranquility and coziness. Its high ceilings, comfortable chairs and sofas, large tables, and the fireplace create an amazing space for dinners, board games, or those endless discussions you want to have with your friends after midnight. Its location is great, 5-min drive from Portaría and 10’ from Makrinitsa. The view of the gulf is great.

Korina and Despoina are some of the most organised, generous, and friendly hosts we have ever encountered. We will definitely go back soon. read less

This was a truly unforgettable experience of hospitality. It’s a gorgeous, very special and beautiful house with an artistic flavor of it’s owners, the house is very private and quiet, it is greatly located between Portaria and Volos and has an astonishing view of the gulf (the house looks so much better than in the pictures). Korina, Despina and Eli took great care of us as if we were their beloved relatives that finally came to visit! Korina and Eli provided us with very useful recommendations as per things to do in the area. During our stay, Despina, the owner, spoiled us and baked bread and cookies, made jams and pastries, baby sited the babies of the couple that stayed with us, and genuinely made us feel very welcomed and at home. During the years, we all had different and very positive experiences through AirBnb but this one was very unique in its hospitality and kindness. read less

Great location, 5 minutes driving away from Portaria, with spacious parking inside the land. There was a lot of snow but the hostess took excellent care of us providing us with woods for the fireplace and equipment to bake our own meal on the fire (of course there was also a fully equipped kitchen but we like cooking on the fire). Spacious house, great decoration, bathrooms updated, kids loved the playroom, always warm water. The house was warm and the hostess always available to help us and more than generous! Will definitely visit again if we return to Pelion! read less

The house is well-equipped, cozy, artistic indeed, situated perfectly (and amazingly) over Volos bay, and the garden is remarkable. Highly recommended. read less

Despina, the owner, met us upon arrival and was attentive to every need.

It's completely secluded from the rest of the village, set less than 10 minutes driving from the lovely Portaria village. It's perfect for a large family, with the basement offering ping-pong and billiard tables. Korina and Despina are extremely pleasant and always ready to help. read less

Αισθάνεσαι την αγάπη με την οποία φτιάχτηκε η κάθε του γωνιά. Υπήρχαν παντού φρέσκα λουλούδια από τον κήπο και την εξοχή, πίνακες ζωγραφικής, πιάνο και κιθάρα, βιβλία σε κάθε δωμάτιο. Έχει θέα που σε καθηλώνει και σου δίνει την αίσθηση ότι βρίσκεσαι σε ελληνικό νησί! Μείναμε δύο οικογένειες με παιδιά ηλικίας 8-12 ετών, τα οποία ξετρελάθηκαν με τον Χόρχε το σκυλάκι της Δέσποινα, τις δυο της γάτες, αλλά και το πινγκ πονγκ! Η Δέσποινα ήταν πολύ φιλόξενη και διακριτική, πολύ γλυκιά με τα παιδιά μας και μας έδωσε πολύτιμες συμβουλές για τις βόλτες και τα γεύματα μας. Περάσαμε πολύ όμορφα τις μέρες μας και φύγαμε γεμάτοι όμορφες αναμνήσεις. Το συστήνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!!! read less

The house is so wonderful we didn't even need to leave the property. But you will want to as it's perfectly located for walks, without a car, but also a short drive to Volos, Portaria etc.. The view absolutely can't 'be beat.. The hosts will bend over backwards to provide everything you need and offer any local advise. We really enjoyed are stay and consider it one of the best Christmas vacations we have had.. We would love to come back in the spring.. One week wasn't enough. Thank you Korina! Even though we had seen the pictures online we were still surprised by how beautiful it is and of course by the view! The nearby villages of Portaria and Markinitsa also have incredible landscapes and many great cafes and restaurants (the suggestions by the hostess, Mrs Despoina, are really to the point). We visited in the summer but for sure the house is suitable for both winter and summer seasons. read less

Her warm welcome with homemade "pita" and local best quality sweets and herbal teas gave us a very good impression.
The house was well equipped and the fireplace kept us in most of the time, everyone felt relaxed like being at home. We even had fun playing table tennis at the basement! There was an astonishing view of the sea and bay and I fully recommend this house for friends and families. The view from the house and its terraces is a retreat, also its stylish architecture, its old, genuine rock structures and delightful windows and balconies. The furniture and interior design are lovely too. House offers physical and spiritual comfort, its beauty and warmth are a retreat.

This beautiful house is suitable for people in love with nature, searching for relaxing at a countryside. For reaching the beaches you need to drive a car, but this was not an inconvenience for our family.
